As a radio and television host, broadcast columnist, journalist, travel writer and public speaker, Dublin-born Dave mined a lifetime of world travel to bring his many fans first-hand stories from around the globe. Whenever history was being made, in Northern Ireland, South Africa, China, Hong Kong or Vietnam, Dave was covering the story. He had a wide range of high-profile face-to-face interview subjects to his credit, including Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos, Baroness Margaret Thatcher, Golda Mier, Sir Peter Ustinov, Mitzi Gaynor and Bob Hope. His travel column was syndicated in 52 weekly papers and his Travel Diary broadcasts on radio. A member of The Society of American Travel Writers (SATW- Active) and the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association, Dave was represented by the National Speakers Bureau of Canada and was a popular ship-board speaker for Holland America.  He died in Vancouver on December 18 2011....
